The Aion Community Team has posted an official notice regarding the Free Aion Server Transfers. According to the notice, they will be returning. They will re-open the transfer signup on August 16th – 8:00 am PDT, and the automatically controlled transfers will start happening on August 18th.
Keep in mind that these transfers will only happen if the server you are transferring to is lacking in your faction’s population. The reason the transfers are free, is because they will be used to better balance the factions. If you are planning to transfer to a server that is overpopulated by your faction (Asmodian or Elyos), don’t be expecting a free transfer to that server any time soon. On the other hand, if you are hoping to transfer to a server that’s population is lacking your faction, it will likely happen quickly.
When you transfer your Character to a new server, all your equiptment, kinah, and items come with you. Server Transfers occur during the weekly maintenance.
